Plant Based O’ahu: Travelling With a Vegan Diet

During Veganuary this year, I made the leap and started practising what I was preaching. It’s now almost June and I’m happy to report that my vegan diet is still doing wonders for my health

5 Tips for Sustainable Travel: The Big Island of Hawai’i

Five weeks ago, I made a small cabin in an ecological community in Pāhoa, Hawai’i, my home for the night.  It’s eery to now hear about the eruption of Kilauea, which we visited twice on

  • REPAIR PATCH GIVEAWAY 🌏 Fashion Revolution Wee REPAIR PATCH GIVEAWAY 🌏

Fashion Revolution Week and Mend in Public Day are just around the corner, a time to come together to make an impact, give our clothes some love, and normalise repairing what we wear.

This is where @fabpatch.au have such a straightforward solution that makes repairing our clothes and gear quick and easy, with their rub-on repair patches 💚

What I especially love about FabPatch Australia is that:

🔸 They have patches made from different materials depending on what you need - stretch (like these patches pictured!), merino, and extreme (extreme is perfect for jackets and outdoor gear ⛺️)

🔸 The patches are straightforward to use and fuss-free

🔸 They’re supporters of @seamlessaustralia (me too!)

🔸 They have an awesome array of designs & their ‘Budgie’ and ‘Banksia’ patches were designed by local artists (check out the FabPatch website to see all their products at fabpatch.au - link in my bio)

🔸 They give back – for every Stretch Pride FabPatch packet sold, $3 is donated to Minus18, Australia’s champions for LGBTQIA+ youth

To make repair that little bit easier, we’re giving you the chance to win:
✨ 1x pack of FabPatch Stretch Patches in Black
✨ AND 1x pack of FabPatch patches of your choice

Each week there’s a clothing swap, a sewing macine bar in this upcycled horse float (repair your clothes!) and guided workshops (bookings required for the workshops but the rest you can just rock up for)👚

Last week I swapped a couple of garments that don’t fit me anymore & that I haven’t worn for years (😢) with items that I’m already loving and wearing. It’s so nice to keep things circulating and being cherished and worn 💚

Check out the website, get down there on Thursdays if you can, and bring your mending pile 🪡

2016 (Australian uni student version) 🙂‍↕️🤘

If 2026 is anything like it, I hope it’s all the good bits!

Seeds planted, adventures, music and festivals, creativity and the confidence!! What a time.

Looking forward to only just recognising myself in another 10 years 🫶
I’ve been doing this for a couple of years, and I’ve been doing this for a couple of years, and I wouldn’t do it any other way now! 💚

While I’ve bought so much less than I used to, this method has also helped me think more about the relationship between our environment(s) and our clothes.

There are so many little things it’s helped me notice, like the amount of wind we get in Kambarang (keeping this in mind for next year’s Kambarang wardrobe), and that I typically don’t even access my coats or heavy jumpers until June/Makuru.

Best of all, I only really have to think about what I’m gonna wear 6 times a year 🌸

Would you try this?

Leave some love if you’re a capsule wardrobe girlie too (whatever that looks like to you!)
