Denmark, Western Australia: Secrets from a wild romance

“Love… is a quest for truth… truth in relation to something quite precise: what kind of world does one see when one experiences it from the point of view of two and not one?” –

2016 (Australian uni student version) 🙂‍↕️🤘

If 2026 is anything like it, I hope it’s all the good bits!

Seeds planted, adventures, music and festivals, creativity and the confidence!! What a time.

Looking forward to only just recognising myself in another 10 years 🫶
I’ve been doing this for a couple of years, and I’ve been doing this for a couple of years, and I wouldn’t do it any other way now! 💚

While I’ve bought so much less than I used to, this method has also helped me think more about the relationship between our environment(s) and our clothes.

There are so many little things it’s helped me notice, like the amount of wind we get in Kambarang (keeping this in mind for next year’s Kambarang wardrobe), and that I typically don’t even access my coats or heavy jumpers until June/Makuru.

Best of all, I only really have to think about what I’m gonna wear 6 times a year 🌸

Would you try this?

Leave some love if you’re a capsule wardrobe girlie too (whatever that looks like to you!)

November ~ Thanks for being good to us 🫶 Raw, November ~ Thanks for being good to us 🫶

Raw, unfiltered, a bit choppy, but safe to say I’m officially defrosted 🌻😎

This month was filled with beach whenever we got a spare moment, including some time over on Wadjemup where I found a (corroded & covered in sand) 2 cent Australian coin from 1974 - just sitting on the beach ✨

Lots of hunting for treasures and art to fill the cup, especially with Garage Sale Trail and Freo Biennale this time of year 🎨

So much gardening and pruning, and sowing the seeds for the next lot of crops. I’m officially trying out the three sisters method, after first coming across it in Robin Wall Kimmerer’s Braiding Sweetgrass a few years ago. I’m so excited to try grow corn! 🌽

And what a way to finish, with Sam Fender and Holly Humberstone in Kings Park (is there anyone left in Newcastle or are they all in Australia right now? 😂) and rounding it out with end-of-year celebrations with friends 💚

Grateful, warm, looking forward to a beautiful Birak ahead - lots of fun stuff coming up at both Selkie Social and Fash Rev, let’s go! 🌼💃
Last few weeks of August and my first weeks as a b Last few weeks of August and my first weeks as a big adult baby 🙃

- A little studio decorating 🖼️

- Walks, birds, flowers (the first purple one is a guichenotia aka yanchep bells, and the second is our hardenbergia aka native wisteria - it’s going OFF 💜)

- That @sunslayer.co glow, will be sharing more about this Perth brand soon!

- Supporting local Irish biz at the newly opened Mons. O’Shea (shall I start doing office hours an Mons?? I feel like I’m about to be there often enough 😂)

- A drop in the ocean but every single person standing up against this genocide is vital. Lives are literally depending on it. 🍉

- Fashion Revolution Australia became a @seamlessaustralia supporter this month and I figured it was about time I did the same!! I’ll share more about this soon 🧶

- Shocked to find a dedicated anko & shein rack at the op shop on the weekend. But also maybe it’s good because a) people know where to find it if they want it, b) for people who don’t want these products, it saves them sorting through it in the other sections. I have mixed feelings on this 😭 Thoughts?

- Pleasantly surprised to find a footwear recycling dropoff point at my local Macpac store!

No wonder this past month went fast. A third of 2025 to go now. Holding out for the warmth and sunlight 🌻🧡

Famine has officially been declared in Gaza. We will not ignore what is happening. We’re calling for the Australian government to act, and cease to be complicit in Israel’s ongoing oppression and violence.
